Playing a video game is just like growing your business

I was chatting with my friend late at night and he hit me with this unexpected thought…
“Computer games are the proof that people actually want to work."
Huh?
The people I know that play video games seem lazy, sitting around with their eyes glued to a big screen, talking nonsense into boom mics to their only friends …you know…those other people spending endless hours online playing the same games.
But he said, "No… People that play video games all the time are considered lazy.
But think about it, they play a game for hours, collecting coins to update their armor, climbing up the prestige ladder of the game, challenging other players, fighting for status and more resources and exotic items. They invest tons of time in mastering skills, strategies, collaborating, and planning. They are constantly overcoming obstacles, enemies and competition."
He continued, "Humans love progress, that’s how we’re programmed.
And games are made in a way so that you understand the whole system right away. You know what to do, where to find coins, how to increase your status etc…
In the real world it’s EXACTLY the same.”
Facepalm!
The reason some people are lost and don’t take action in business is that they don’t understand the “system” to earn money, to scale their business, sidestep competition and win the game.
Outside of the game console, there are no neon arrows pointing directly at the things you have to do, with a clearly defined sequence of actions that will lead to the jackpot.
And when you take action, you don’t know if you’re making progress or just wasting your time…
and as a result you get frustrated and run around in circles.
So… wouldn’t it be awesome to have someone show you the way?
To explain the system to you and help you climb up the leaderboard of the real world?
Just like a video game?
If you want to win the video game of business…
Find someone who can show you the things you have to do…
The actions you have to take and the sequence in which to take them…
The mistakes you should avoid…
Business is a game. It is fun and the rewards are plenty.
For those who know how to play.
